Frist psot!!111

I finally gone and done it. People have been telling me to for years. I guess it’s more effective than emailing people who don’t want to care anyway. We’ll see how it works.

So what’s going on anyway?

It’s the 6th anniversary of Sept 11th, 2001. Roughly 3000 people who died that day because of the attacks. I watched them on Fox News, my favorite TV news source at the time. I woke up early, but instead of going to class, for some reason I turned on Fox. Something told me to turn on the TV. It was right after the first tower was hit. I watched the second tower hit live as Fox broadcast. I watched them fall.

A year earlier, I’d also been watching Fox. Watching the states go Red or Blue. Hoping beyond hope that Bush were elected. Not daring to think Gore could ever win. In the days that followed, praying that it were Bush, not that Democrat doofus Gore. The relief when Bush was finally announced.

The day of this anniversary, September 11th, 2001, and the days that followed, gave America a new chance on the world stage. We all watched in horror as the planes hit and the buildings fell. We all felt pride and courage when Giuliani and Bush gave their powerful speeches. Cheered on “America’s Mayor” who had the resolve to turn down a generous payment from a Saudi prince. Steeled our nerves for the necessary response.

In these years since, we’ve seen nearly 4000 Americans die in retribution, over 1/3 more than in the attacks. Hundreds of thousands more American contractors and Iraqi civilians are excluded from the official tolls. We’ve given up freedom, liberty, and our Constitutional Rights in pursuit of a safety we never had and will never achieve.

In the years since, I’ve come to see it’s a fool’s errand beckoned by our clown puppet prince, his Sith puppet-master hiding in his shadows and protected by his secrets. A teetering house of cards supports them, fearing the breeze gathering it’s force, a party too complicit to condemn. This all is overseen by a troupe of sleepy gluttons.

I struck for 9/11, something I fear all too few have done.

I had meant to go to the University and pass out flyers, but it’s hard to compel the masses to do something when all you’re asking is they do nothing. We needed bullhorns, speeches, thousands of copies of handbills and flyers, and I started working far too late to set that up.

But something else has been achieved. After all the time I’ve spent writing over-long emails no one reads, posts on boards, comments, and responses, I’ve finally started my own site. I don’t know if anyone will be able to withstand the concentrated me. Let’s find out.
